Internacional Hotel Reviews: "Fantastic vacation"

user Allan Vasquez, el salvador - date posted: February 16, 2010 I recently spend 2 nights there this February and since I walked in, everyone was really nice. The receptionist was great, gave me a fantastic room and was always pleasant. The staff were smiling and always kept food and drinks coming. The guy outside in the bar is the best!! I recommend that you make friends with them because they are nice people. The view from the rooms was fantastic, food very good and in huge quantities. A great experience at this hotel! Plus, it's in the middle of everything and at a great price! I would go again ASAP

The hotel is good, the beach magnificent, although I think that they could improve the services offered at the marina. The cabaret was good, the food wasn’t bad, but the service could improve a bit. The only good service I received was in the lobby bar and the people who attended the boats. Someone said that they thought we were Cubans; good service should be for everyone and not only those who give tips. All in all, we had a really good time.

The bartenders mising the best drinks, resort staff playing volleyball with the guests for hours, taking us to clubs and just showing all of us a great time. 2nd time I went some of the staff even remembered me from my previous trip which makes you feel more welcome. Beaches are beautiful! The water just goes on for miles and the hotel is so close to it. Recommend this hotel to anyone and if is your first time in Cuba...go to Varadero and stay here!

I have never had such excellent treatment from staff in a hotel or so much fun. This hotel is definately a must when visiting Veradero...Cuba is definately a must for anyone who has never been there, and anyone who has been there will definately know what I am talking about...The people are beautiful, kind and happy. One of the things I liked most was the view and how it became an extension of the hotel...marvellous. But, the staff was doubtless the best part, all those who treated us so well from the very first moment until the last. Especially the waiters who were so kind to us, our waiter, the lizard repeller, and our favorite life guard at the beach...and the shows I remember so well...Jorge, Alberto, Oriol, you are the best! user a Hotel-VaraderoInternacional.com user, chile - date posted: February 15, 2009 It seems like a good hotel, it has good beach access and the all the inclusive services are good (although they could have used real glasses rather than plastic ones). We had reserved a room with a view of the beach but it seems like they overlooked our reservation and we had to do with a view of the gardens (which are beautiful) for the same price. The shower was horrible the water came out either boiling hot or freezing cold. Everything else was really good.

I still have the beautiful views of that incredible sea that we had from the room in my eyes. We enjoyed the facilities, services, the good work of the entire staff, we had a really terrific time there. Even though the hotel is old, its facilities give one access to the sea and nature everywhere. It is a very comfortable and pleasant hotel. I will no doubt return to savor the dishes offered at the bar, with its lovely female staff, who always terrific, the drinks at the terrace, with a bar man who mixes a piña colada better than anyone, the lobby bar, always well stocked, the excellent cabaret and restaurant, the very clean rooms...everything surrounded by the sea. Services are good and guests treated well, particularly by Mrs. Tania, Ana Maria, Odali, Ana, the bar tender and Miguelito, the security man. They make one's stay pleasant and safe. user Andrea, spain - date posted: August 11, 2008 Hi!! I stayed at this hotel from July 3 to 8 with my partner. The truth is that the hotel is really good, I felt at home. The staff is really friendly and make you laugh over just about anything. The food is a bit repetitive but quite good, and if you don’t like eating in the restaurant you can go to the bar by the swimming pool or at the beach, both serve different food than the restaurant. The show was really good, especially the last day of my stay. They brought me out to participate in representation of Spain together with four others. This day was great and over all it was a fantastic vacation, I left very happy. I recommend this hotel, it is not very expensive and they treat you like family! =)

user roxana dena, mexico - date posted: June 21, 2008 I visited this hotel from may 31 to abril 3rd... this was an unique experience...the staff is nice and they are open to make new thinks like the barman chuy that whit a couple of friends prepared a new drink that was delicious "los tres chuys"... the beach great...the cabaret the envirnoment is wonderful... I met there wonderful people from the town like daniel and visitors from elsewhere... the food is not the best thing but it is acceptable...definitly I'll come back to this hotel in Varadero.

Wow what a holiday,,it was so relaxing.Food is so so but the place is utterly fantastic!,,,,Our room was exquisite with the ocean view right there,,and we were right on the beach above the sand,gorgeous ,it is oh so gorgeous and we will go back.Soon I hope. The staff are excellent and friendly including Alexander and Hector,,in the Buffet room , and Lydia in the restaurant and more staff.Service was excellent It is a unique hotel left unchanged,a paradise is what it is,,,cant wait to go back! Thank you to all the Staff,,,we had an amazing time! Darryl and Kim

user Robert William Gregg, canada - date posted: June 18, 2007 I have being twice in Varadero's International, both times were incredible in 2005 and april 2007, people are very kind, food is tasty and to many, - I recommend guayabas those green outside and red inside-, cofee service is madness, the snack area perfect. Rooms are clean and functionals, the shows at night and daily activities with salsa's classes are the best, the beach is so near, only a few meters and the sea with an unforgettablel color. I will be back to this hotel by the end of august or early september 2007. At the International you are at home, you will never be a foreigner, you become part of the environment, it is easy to get the turistic bus to make a sightseeing of Varadero. Ample, clean rooms, cofashions, the location of the hotel seems to me perfect, because it is not remote of the center, if you like to walk you can arrive almost everywhere without greater problems. You can´t lose the night club at night, a pretty show, including dinner. Other night reserve the Universal restaurant of the hotel, good food with good music. The food, we liked breakfasts. For me the better was the cortadito coffee (excellent) the service that takes care of the bar - insurmountable-kind and amiable. The beach is in front of the precious hotel. It is an old hotel but comfortable and the lobby is warm. I recommend it and we waited for a pleasant return

Staff were super. Beach was glorius. Food was good. My husband is a picky eater and he never went hungary. The only negative!! The animation team was not overly energetic. They were friendly but not like other places we have stayed. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is definitely the right place.

THe hotel is close to the water unlike many other hotels - you walk outside and are already on the beach. Great security, friendly staff. THe food is not exceptional but tolerable. Vegetarians your selections are limited but there was always fresh grilled fish. The hotel itself is beautiful and pretty classy - 50's style with marble. I would definitely return to this hotel.

The Hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The beach was gorgeous and the water was warm. There was nightly entertainment on the beach and the bar never stopped serving your favourite drink. The weather and scenery was what you would expect from a tropical paradise. Negatives: Unfortunately, everything they say about Cuban food (at least in the Hotels) is true. It is bland and unimaginative. You won't find any of the normal condiments you are used to and the beef is awful when you can find it. However, there is a good selection with plenty of fresh baked breads, pork, fruits, and vegitables, so you won't have trouble finding something to your liking. When you leave the peninsula into mainland Cuba you discover a country of extreme poverty that seems by north american standards to be locked in a time warp somewhere in the 1930s.

The best thing about it was, the hotel is right on the beach; grab a cold drink and plop yourself on a lounger and relax. We found the staff to be very pleasant except at the front desk. You are walking distant to the city to do some shopping. The rooms were clean. We had no complaints and are anxious to go back.

My honeymoon was spent at this beautiful hotel, where you don't need to walk for half an hour to get to the beach and where all the action is.. I went back to Cuba, (Cayo Coco, Cienfuegos and other places), and never enjoyed my stay as much as I did at the Varadero Internacional hotel. I even spent a week at the luxurious Melia las Americas (5 stars plus), in Varadero, and never had the same satisfaction as I did at the Internacional hotel. Every time I went to Cuba, I passed by this hotel to spend at least a day there to fill up my heart with its magnificent beach... I have seen Hawaï, the Dominican Republic, California, and the beaches there were ok, but nothing like the one by the Hotel Internacional. I am going back to Varadero on the 13th of august 2005, in two days, BUT this time I am staying with my husband and three children at the Internacional hotel... and I will write my review as soon as I get back.
